What’s on
There is no shortage of things to do at The Mornington.
The centrally located and recently renovated Clubhouse overlooks our beautiful lake and gardens and includes a Lounge, The Seabird Restaurant, Clubhouse Barista Café, Activities Room, Billiard Room, Library and Kiosk.
Our Residents Committee is very active, organising monthly dinners and events, as well as a weekly Happy Hour for residents.
Whether you are a keen craftsperson, lawn bowler, movie buff, billiard player, footy tipper or yoga guru, you are sure to find some likeminded friends in one of our interest groups.
There are also plenty of opportunities to get out and about on one of our regular shopping trips or bus outings to explore the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.
The Village craft group is a burgeoning cottage industry that creates a sells a range of lovely craft items. People of all skill levels are welcome to this group to create craft and enjoy a chat over a cuppa. A gold coin donation to cover costs of materials and having a cuppa is all you’ll need.
The Snooker group play each week as a group but also informally through the week. If you enjoy a game of snooker and a beer then you will enjoy participating in this group. Get along to join the lads for a game today.
The indoor bowls group has a lot of fun in the Clubhouse with a custom made bowling green and score board which always produces some healthy competition. A friendly group that always welcomes new players and if you don’t know how to bowl, the residents will soon fix that!
The Lawn Bowls group meets twice a week for a game or two on the outdoor green. Join in with the fun and friendly competition on the green. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play, there’s lots of people who’ll show you the ropes!
Croquet is a lovely gentle game which is enjoyed by many of our residents. The group meets several times a week to enjoy some sunshine and a gentle game which has been known to produce some amazing shots and a good dose of laughter.
Do you enjoy a good movie? The Village shows movies in the Clubhouse Theatrette and each week the movie is different. Come along to watch a film in a comfy chair and if you have a favourite movie, pop into reception and let the staff know. BYO popcorn!
A gentle meditative exercise, Tai Chi is a wonderful way to move your body and balance your mind. Our residents love this group and are always looking for new members to join them so pop along today and wear some shoes that are easy to move in.

A wonderful way to keep fit and have a boogie to some great music, line dancing is a regular fixture in the activity calendar at The Mornington. Come along and try it out and don’t forget to wear clothes and shoes that are easy to move in.

An exercise group for residents that offers gentle exercises that are chair based. These exercises are supervised by a health professional and are designed to assist you in moving more freely and strengthening your body. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.
